Default Guild Territory?

I would really appreciate some help on this. I can't seem to find an answer as to whether Guild Territory has any significance. We are thinking of recreating our guild into the North America territory (I don't think it can be changed without deleting and recreating) because we all play on the American servers. However, when the guild was created back in the day, Europe was selected as the territory. What effect does this have on us? Thanks!

As far as the location, it makes no difference. Unless one territory suddenly keeps the favour all the time. There are no permanent advantages for one territory over the other. Just make sure the majority of your guild is in the right one. The one with your hall.

I guess this is where I am confused. All of our accounts are on the American server. We go to FoW, UW when America has favor, etc. But, our guild territory is set to Europe. In other words, it seems to be irrelevant. Is there any reason to try to change this?

So, it means absolutely nothing? Does it not mean we would theoretically gain favor for Europe though we play and benefit from America having favor?

its only really needed for the tournaments in GW. the world championship took a certain amount of guilds from each territory, and guilds were ineligible if the majority of their players were not playing on the server in which their guild was formed.

if you are a top guild and have this problem: you should probably remake during the ladder stop imbetween these seasons, keeping valuable points away from your competitors and still being able to count in tournament standings.

if not: it doesnt matter at all (so far anyways......)

First of all, don't double post your thread in different forums. One is enough. Secondly favor is account based, not guild based. The territory your account resides in determines if you can gain entrance into FoW/UW, not what territory your guild resides in. Same thing for gaining favor. The team winning HoH gains favor for the territory that is represented most by accounts in the team. Thus, if 6/8 of the players holding HoH were in Europe Territory, but were in an American Guild, they would keep favor for Europe.
